Cheyenne Woods, BDI alumna, launches new commercial for Nike

The BDSA was elated to welcome Cheyenne to the junior program where she competed for many years achieving two major wins and numerous second place accolades while competing in the Bill Dickey Invitational (BDI). Today she is an ambassador of the BDSA, professional golfer an a inspiration to young girls, college students, professional golfers both women and men all over the world.

Shasta Averyhardt inducted into the 2018 Jackson State University Sports Hall of Fame

Cameron Champ birdied five of the last six holes to win the Sanderson Farms Championship, recovering for his first PGA TOUR victory after giving up a four-shot lead Sunday. The 23-year-old Champ won in his ninth career tour start, closing with a 4-under 68 for a four-stroke victory.

The Bill Dickey Invitational Will Be Held June 24-27 at The Club at Ibis

The Annual Bill Dickey Invitational Junior Golf Championship is a two-day junior golf championship held at a first-class golf facility, where young minority golfers aged 12-18 can showcase their talents, build leadership skills, and interact with industry professionals. The BDI helps identify college scholarship candidates and gives them an internationally-recognized, highly-competitive stage.

Former BDSA Scholar and BDI Champion Cameron Champ Joins the Web.com Tour

He exploded onto the golf scene this past June—literally—when his massive 350-plus-yard drives at the U.S. Open impressed even some of the PGA Tour's longest hitters. Cameron (Cam) Champ, who was T-4 in that event through 36 holes and finished T-32, says that was the first time he ever really considered turning professional. And now he's done just that. The Texas A&M senior will played his first event as a pro at the PGA Tour's OHL Classic at Mayakoba in Mexico.
