THE BDSA AND MARCH FOUNDATION
The Bill Dickey Scholarship Association’s (BDSA) goal is to introduce young people of color to the game of golf and to provide financial assistance to college-bound students. It is with great enthusiasm that we announce our esteemed partner, the MARCH Foundation, has agreed to expand their partnership with us. In September 2019 and beyond, the MARCH Foundation and the Bill Dickey Scholarship Association will proceed to impact more deserving youth, to help change their lives through education while “Building Hope… One Stroke At A Time.”
The BDSA is excited to share how the MARCH Foundation has notably impacted youth in the communities we serve.
, which stands for Mutual Alliance Restoring Community Hope
, was launched to support the education of African-American youth. Since its inception in 1997, the Foundation has distributed more than $954,637 in grants and scholarships
which have impacted more than 1,500 students to date.
Access to fellowships and college would have been financially off limits for most MARCH recipients.
The MARCH Board is comprised of active and retired UPS executives. Their careers spanned an average of 35 years, beginning as package car drivers or truck loaders. Their personal financial investments provided the source for scholarships and grants. The MARCH Foundation is a 501(c) (3) organization based in Plano, TX.
