Julia Simon shares the importance of supporting the Bill Dickey Scholarship Association (BDSA)

Julia Simon, from New Orleans, LA – 2022 Graduate from Stanford University

Julia Simon a Bill Dickey Scholarship Association (BDSA) alumna excelled as an undergraduate student at Stanford University obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Honors in Chemical Engineering. She demonstrated her prowess receiving the Mason/Marsden Prize in Chemical Engineering for undergraduate research. Julia’s thesis is entitled “Evaluating Membrane Performance in Electrochemical Stripping Reactor for Nitrogen Removal.”

The BDSA is extremely proud to have been a part of Julia’s pursuit of education and we commend her for her dedication and enthusiasm to learn and aspire to become a renowned scientist and leader in her field. She will make a difference in the world. Julia is committed to further her studies attending Yale University where she began her PhD in Environmental Engineering, Fall of 2022. Due to her excellent performance, she received support from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for her Graduate Research Fellowship.
