Project Description

Get to Know the BDSA and BDI Scholars

GET INVOLVED

Meghan P. Campbell is from Orlando, FL and is a sophomore at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU).

As I continue my education at FAMU, I will continue to take courses pertaining to my major, which is Veterinary Technology.  I am preparing to become a Veterinarian Technician.  This past summer, I was selected as one of four students from FAMU to participate in the United States Department of Agriculture project entitled “Training Globally Competence Workforce at 1890 Universities for the Agricultural Foreign Services.”

I participated in the MexFly and Screwworm Sterile Fly Release Techniques Student Tour, in Mexico and California.  The purpose of the tour was designed to engage students in field experiences, in food security training on MexFly and Screwworm Sterile Techniques to protect the food supply of fruits and livestock.  This experience might not have been made available without the assistance of the Bill Dickey Scholarship.

My goal is to complete the semester with a 3.5 GPA.

Once again than you so much for the scholarship which is assisting me in achieving my goals.

Sincerely

Meghan Campbell
